Qualification Exam Deadline
The qualification exam for students who enrolled in 2017 must be completed by the last business day of April 2018. Students must submit their request at least 20 days before the qualification exam, following the procedures and forms available on the website.
Thesis Defense
For those who enrolled in 2016, the deadline for the thesis defense is the last business day of February. The request process must be initiated at least 20 days in advance. Procedures and forms are available on the website.
Defense Extension
Requests for an extension of the defense deadline, duly justified, must be submitted by the last day of February, following UFRPE regulations. Procedures and forms are also available on the website.
Students with an extension will be monitored through periodic reports evaluated by the CCD, according to the internal rules of PPGEC available on the website.
Master’s students must complete their program within the regular 24-month period. Extensions will only be granted if a valid justification is provided. If the extension request is denied, the student will be dismissed from the program without completing the master’s degree.
