The Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), in partnership with the Brazilian Society of Mathematics Education (SBEM), will host the Pernambuco Forum on Teaching Degrees for Mathematics Teachers on April 25th and 26th. The event will take place at UFRPE's Recife campus and will have the central theme of the Challenges and Perspectives of Pernambuco's teaching degrees in the current scenario. Its goal is to analyze and discuss the quality of the transformations that have taken place in Pernambuco's teaching degree programs in the current context.
Registrations must be made through the link available on the SBEM-PE website: www.sbempe.com.br until 04/19/2019.
The full program, available on the website, includes topics to be discussed in the working groups, such as: Teacher profile and professional identity; Teaching practice: possible connections between the subjects in the curriculum matrix; Supervised internship: possibilities and needs; Teaching Initiation Programs: impacts on the training of future mathematics teachers; Relations between academic mathematics and school mathematics in the initial teacher training process.
Teachers and other professionals working in the management of programs related to Mathematics and Pedagogy teaching degrees, those teaching Mathematics in basic education, working in teacher education for Mathematics, researchers, and students from Mathematics and Pedagogy teaching degree programs can participate.
According to the organizers, the event provides an important opportunity for discussing topics of significant social and professional interest.
