The PPGEC has been increasingly investing in expanding and consolidating internationalization efforts, whether through building partnerships, publishing in international journals and events, involving foreign examiners in thesis committees, organizing lectures and short courses, welcoming international students, hosting international events in collaboration with other institutions, sending students abroad for doctoral internships, and attracting foreign postdoctoral fellows.

In this regard, we highlight some participations:

• Advisory Board of a project approved by the National Science Foundation at the University of Massachusetts and Tufts University;
• Partnership in the STEM Education Hub (SEH), proposed by King’s College (UK);
• Partnership with the University of Lyon 2 for research, postdoctoral studies, and joint doctoral programs;
• Collaboration with the Latin American and Caribbean Open Chair on Youth and Adult Education (EPJA), linked to the Universidad de Educación (UNAE), Ecuador, through the Paulo Freire Chair at UFRPE;
• Partnership with the Universidad Estatal Península de Santa Elena, Ecuador, through the Paulo Freire Chair at UFRPE.

All these partnerships have a significant impact on the training of PPGEC students, as they actively participate in research, teaching, and outreach activities alongside their advisors. These initiatives facilitate the establishment of educational networks with foreign universities and, in the medium and long term, promote academic exchange for students, faculty, and researchers in graduate studies, contributing to the qualification of the PPGEC as outlined in the Program’s Strategic Plan.
